Engineer

About Us:

We're seeking our first engineer to help us expand beyond logging. Currently, we can reduce log volume by over 90% without losing signal. Our immediate focus is to achieve similar efficiency gains for metrics and traces.

You'll be joining us at ground zero, working directly with our founder across all levels of the stack. With rapid growth, multiple years of runway, and a projected profitability by the middle of this year, the opportunity is ripe for impactful contributions.

Who You Are:

We're looking for an exceptional senior engineer with at least 6 years of industry experience, who communicates clearly and is driven by a strong desire for improvement. You should feel comfortable working across all levels of the stack, from capturing wire traffic using Wireshark to deploying CRUD apps. Deep expertise in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is essential, along with proficiency in at least one of the following languages: TypeScript, Python, or Rust.

Bonus:

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

• Experience in the observability space.
• Familiarity with Datadog's infrastructure, APM, and logging services.
• Deep understanding of observability pipelines, ideally with Vector.
• Proficiency with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Previous experience with the CDK.

• TypeScript for Backend (Express) and Frontend (React, Next, & Material).
• Rust for the pipeline agent (specifically, Vector).
