About the Position
We're in search of a seasoned controls engineer to join our team in crafting the world's most efficient piston engines. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data acquisition, test engineering, and real-time control system development.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with closed-loop control system development and real-time control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with National Instruments cRIO hardware and LabVIEW. FPGA experience is advantageous.
- At least 3 years of experience with the setup and calibration of various sensors (e.g., pressure transducers, thermocouples, encoders, automotive gas analysis sensors).
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and Microsoft Office products.
- Sound knowledge of internal combustion piston engines and electric power generation.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills through prior work experience with significant project responsibilities.
Additional Skills to Excel in this Role:
- Work background in the automotive or industrial equipment sector.
- Extensive familiarity with internal combustion engines and contemporary piston engine technologies.
- Hands-on experience with engines, powertrain systems, or similar multidisciplinary heavy-duty hardware projects.
- Previous involvement with startups or evident capability to assume substantial project responsibilities and deliver prompt, tangible results.
- Dynamic and persistent approach to problem-solving.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability for assigned tasks.
- Proactive initiative. A successful candidate will prioritize team success in alignment with the company's vision and can autonomously identify task priorities.
