The Role:
We're seeking a Founding Senior Data Scientist to craft ML solutions tailored to our customers’ intricate real-world challenges. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with the founders, engineering team, and end customers. This position suits individuals who excel in both theoretical data science and engineering, capable of producing high-quality code for production environments.
As a "full stack" position, your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding customer data and devising ingestion and ETL pipelines.
- Leveraging this data to develop end-to-end solutions utilizing advanced ML pricing and optimization models.
- Designing and conducting experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of pricing and promotion strategies.
- Collaborating with the founders to shape and prioritize our product roadmap, emphasizing the future of data science.
We welcome candidates who are confident in their ability to fulfill the above tasks and are eager to work closely with the founders. Our tech stack is powered by AWS, so familiarity with their tooling (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, etc.) is advantageous.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with an M.S. or Ph.D., or 6+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning, or related quantitative fields.
- Ability to work in-person.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Background in Revenue Management and Pricing.
- Expertise in Operations Management and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in Forecasting.
- Experience in Consumer Choice Modeling.
