We're in search of a Senior Development Operations Engineer to join our team, playing a pivotal role in advancing our DevOps practices, particularly within the context of our TypeScript Monorepo hosted on Amazon Web Services. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and expanding the tools and infrastructure required for the seamless development, deployment, and operation of our applications. As we transition to a multi-team engineering environment, your expertise will be instrumental in reducing complexity as our company continues to expand.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Automation: Lead the development and maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or similar technologies to automate provisioning and configuration management.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software releases, ensuring a seamless transition from development to production.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues, ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide guidance on building scalable and reliable systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with at least 3 years of experience in development operations.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Temporal.io is a plus.
