As an early engineering hire, you’ll tackle unique challenges for our core products, impacting thousands of merchants and SaaS companies daily.
What you'll be doing
- Build performant, reliable, scalable, and beautiful products, collaborating with engineering teams across four countries.
- Solve complex problems and provide elegant solutions for our customers and app users, spanning engineers and product managers.
- Architect and implement features for our iPaaS and automation products, workflow orchestration, and analytics engine.
- Manage queues, schedule jobs, map data across different APIs, handle errors, and address significant infrastructure and engineering challenges.
- Develop infrastructure and internal tooling to handle high transaction volume (thousands of executions per minute).
- Foster a culture of teaching and learning, providing constructive feedback, and growing from feedback received.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge across all of our teams.
Skills & experience we're excited about
- Over 10 years of relevant software engineering experience, with expertise in building web applications at scale using Node, React, Typescript, JavaScript, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to tackle big infrastructure and engineering challenges due to the complex platform interfacing with 200+ APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proficient in analyzing complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
- Proficiency in back-end development concepts, server-side architecture, design patterns, APIs, databases, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
- Experience running production systems, including deployment, monitoring, debugging, code optimization, performance enhancement, and improving system scalability and reliability.
- Understanding of security in software development, familiar with common security vulnerabilities, and knowledgeable about best practices to mitigate them.
